BELEMAOIL FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT AWARDED COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER, CON, BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI

Tein T.S Jack-Rich joined the select class of Nigerians recognized for their selfless service and contribution to the nation and the upliftment of the common man as President Muhammadu Buhari conferred on him the distinguished award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON, on  October 11, 2022 in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

As Founder/President of Belemaoil Producing Limited, Operator of the NNPC/Belemaoil JV, Jack-Rich has come a long way from the creeks and beach fronts of Kula, an orphan boy who had nothing but fervent faith in God and hope for a better future.  Thus did the young lad begin a journey of self-discovery, development and actualization at age 10.

In 1988, he founded J+G Oil Field Services Ltd, to provide specialty services to the Oil and Gas sector. The success of this endeavour, overtime, led to the birthing of Belemaoil Producing Limited, the first truly indigenous oil exploration and production company rising from within an oil producing community in the Niger Delta.

The company has since become a household name and a beacon of hope in the host communities and across the country providing social amenities – potable water, health facilities, good roads in fulfilment of its developmental and strategic partnership and commitment as encapsulated in the Belemaoil Model.

Belemaoil has provided scholarships from post primary, under-graduate to post graduate levels, both in country and abroad, changing lives and creating future opportunities for Nigerian youths of different backgrounds. Tein T.S Jack-Rich, CON,  is driven by the philosophy that effective and long lasting capacity building through proper education is the driver for economic growth and prosperity of any nation.

Belemaoil’s National Women’s development programme completely changed the economic empowerment landscape when over one thousand Nigerian women from the 36 States and the FCT benefitted from the company empowerment initiative in partnership the Belema Aid Foundation and the NNPC/Belemaoil JV.

CEO of Elin Group and wife of the Awardee, Dr. Elizabeth Jack-Rich,  described him as a patriot with abiding commitment to national development and selfless service to humanity, noting that “his contributions to national economic development goals and aspirations as the first indigenous oil exploration and production company in Nigeria just as his various socio-economic intervention projects through the Belema Aid Foundation, have impacted positively on many lives across the country.”

Jack-Rich received education in Petroleum Production Technology from Panola College in Carthage, Texas (USA), pursued Business Administration at University of Wales and Business Management at Usam University. He has received several Fellowship and Doctorate awards both within and outside Nigeria.

This Award further challenges and positions Mr. Jack-Rich to pursue his development goals, human capacity and entrepreneurial development, giving the impetus for excellence and achievement to as many that come his way and are willing to face the challenges success brings.
